Time to see a dermatologist I think. Take a list of current medicines and supplements you take. It may be roscea, may be a sun reaction to meds, may be zit type stuff. Could even be poison ivy. Some things are best diagnosed face to face (no pun intended).

Thanks Sue, I'll have to suck it up and go to a doc.

Maybe it's rosacea (http://www.rosacea.org/index.php)

I hate going to doctors too but like you said, maybe it's time to suck it up and get some professional eyes/hands on advice.

Good luck.

Thanks for the correct spelling and link, Bob. I hate having to find new docs too. Many primary care docs can handle this kind of stuff too. Maybe call and aks if yours has handled rosacea before. Normally you are prescribed a cream and a mild antibiotic.

Geno,

I would suggest a dermatologist becuase what you describe could be several things such as sebborheic dermatitis, rosacea, allergic reaction, sun-related, etc.

Unfortunately, skin rashes don't often clear up as quickly as we'd like.
It requires using a treatment and giving it time to work. That's why you want to get the proper diagnosis-creme, lotions etc can be expensive
and can make it worse if not the correct one.

Keep us posted.

I get this too. they go away, after, mostly. But I do have acne issues which mainly are only a problem stemming from dysreflexia/sweating (back, neck, face). let me know what doc says- I think my drugs cause the acne, and dysreflexia elevates it- but I can't pin point it for sure.

THANKS rollin64-
I couldn't stand the itching anymore. The redness seems to be getting lighter in just one day.

I said the same thing. He said that my face was dry and flakey. The red spots are inflamed by heat and irritation. The creams and soap seem to be helping.

I have to put Desonide on my daughter for her eczema. Be warned that it might leave white patches where you use it, like the pigment is gone. Don't worry if that happens, it will come back :) I freaked out at first!
