Hi
I am a 41 year old male, and I have problems with heavy bladder control. I have tried a variety of Bladder Control products (ie: Depends etc with no success. What I am looking for is an actual "Diaper-Style Diaper that will hold A LOT of liquid, that can be effective for both Day and Night use. Also, I am looking for an effective pair of Rubber Pants that won't leak at night.

Do you cath yourself? It is not healthy to wear a diaper. It can cause major problems with skin breakdown.

Why are you wearing diapers for bladder management? Men can nearly always use an external condom catheter instead, which is much better for your skin, less likely to leak, and also cause less odor problems.
Do you actually have a SCI? Do you have a good urologist? Voiding reflexively is actually not a very good idea in the long run. It is much healthier to use medications to prevent voiding and do self catheterization. A good urologist can do the necessary tests and recommend a much more functional bladder management method for you.
I am moving this over to the Care Forum.

I suppose with lack of care but I've been using diapers since 1997 and never had breakdown issues. Everything looks the same as it always did. If someone is sitting in urine 24/7, that is definitely not good though.

Condom caths are great if they don't blow off.
People who move around at night or walk, tend not to find them dependable.
Also, if your bowels are out of whack at all, external caths don't help.
I find the brief a needed evil.
No breakdown if simple rules are followed. (Less problems than the glue or strips caused me from the condom caths.)
That being said, I have to agree with the nurses comments. If you are totally relying on them for your management, your life could be improved by a large portion of your output being handled in another way.

It is true that diapers can cause many problems- skin breakdown is the major one. However, are you ablle to catheterize yourself? is there someone who can help you? Have you seen a urologist recently?
I am concerned that you may not be emptying your bladder completely.
I also know that although my health care background may say that diapers are not the best thing for you, if you are staying healthy and it works for you, who am I to knock it?
Sorry I can't give any recomendations on brands- maybe someone else out there can.
