Ok where is "song of the south" (Disney) in this list. I had to order my copy from Japan........You cant even get it here. I have heard Bill Cosby owns the copywright.....just a rumor though.
I can believe the others made this list though. I didnt see any of the 9/11 related movies.
Ive always dreamed of being CLYDE'S girlfriend......I love that movie.
How did I know out of all the pictures they could have used from the movie they used the one with the eye retractors. Those things creep me out!!! How messed up is it that was the freakist part of that movie for me? Of cource I was very young when I watched it and didn't totally understand the movie, but that scene still creeps me out and I now know what the movie is about.
Speaking of Disney movies what about Brear (sp) Rabbit. I remeber there being a big fuss about that when I was little.

They left out Peeping Tom"
Plot details follow.
The film begins with an eerie scene where the protagonist, Mark Lewis (Carl Boehm), stalks a prostitute all the while filming her with a camera hidden in his pocket. This scene, shown from the point-of-view of the camera viewfinder, generates high tension as the character follows the girl into her house, murders her and later watches the film in a den at his house as the credits roll over the screen.

The aforementioned Song of the South (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0038969/) is the movie with Uncle Remus, Br'er bear and br'er rabbit.

I've only seen nine of the movies on the list. Not all of them in their entirety either. I need to get NetFlix again.

I think she meant that she didn't personally watch them, maybe?
CLockwork orange - that movie weirded me out bigtime. That one and the Wrath of Khan when they stuck the screaming worms in their brains via the ears. Gah! I was a youngin when I saw that one and had nightmares for weaks. To this day I think of it everytime I have an ear itch. :puke:

..and the Exorcist wasn't controversial enough to make the top 25?
..or even something like "The Boys From Brazil"?
I guess it depends on who's making the list.

As soon as I read the part about worms I was thinking the same thing. But it didn't wiered me out, can't count how many time we whatched that as kids.

Wrath of Khan was bad! I also saw Nightmare on Elm Street when I was about 12. Big mistake! For a week sleep terrified me...

There were some mainly animated scenes that had big time weird out potential but also some very fun and cool scenes and some really great songs.
Wussies! As a kid I'd go to see "The Creature From the Black Lagoon" and have nightmares for weeks; then be waiting on line to see the very next horror movie. If it was soon I'd rationalize that the new nightmare material would at least dispel the last and if it was a long time I'd reason that I'd gotten over the last one so I'd get over this one if it was real scary. "Them" was scary in those days.

I remember my mom taking me to the movies to see Ode to Billy Joe and when the scene came on with her in her bra, my mom almost has a stroke and put her hands over my eyes.........LOL
I really liked horror movies as a teenager. I remember when Amityville Horror came out I didnt sleep for a week......I would lay in bed and listen for things to go bump in the house.
I dont understand why song of the song has been banned in the US. There are alot worse movies out today. People still cause a stink over this movie.......Does anyone know why?

what's funny now, is that i was sooo terrified to see King Kong in 1976, i asked my aunt that we sit in the back row.. i was only 6.. :D
horror movies don't bother me... hard to find good ones that aren't cheesey.. the thing that bothers me a touch is an overload of gore, like Hostel.. :zombie: much worse than Saw...

I wouldnt watch Hostel or Saw.......according to my daughter, they were really bad and she is into horror movies. Her exact words were just plain sick about Hostel. I like a good thriller edge of your seat kind of movie these days......I guess weve all seen enough of our own gore to last a lifetime LOL

Song of the South is just WAYYYY politically incorrect w/ the racial stereotypes. Start with the Tarbaby, then you have Uncle Remus LOL. I love it myself, great songs like zippety-doo-dah.
I was full-grown and the Wrath of Khan ear-worm freaked me.
