Does anyone take KEPPRA i been on it now for 2 years to stop spasms. But i take other meds. I told my DR. and we are going to try cutting back. I just wondered if anyone else is taking KEPPRA. THANKS :) ANTY

Yes I take Keppra 1000mg twice a day. I also take Flexerill for spasms . Keppra takes care of neuropathic pain that I have. Dr. told me it wasnt good for Spasms . What else are you taking ?
I tried it a couple of times. No luck.

razzle sorry took so long to reply i also take baclofen 100mg a day and clonazepam 0.5 mg 4 times a day. I am also on 4-AP. I stopped the keppra no difference so far. I am going to cut back on all meds. My DR. told me how. I want to be on the least that i can take. I have been using a bike now that helps with the spasms. Also my standing frame helps to. :) anty
I've never hard that Keppra can help with spasms. It's an antiseizure drug (like Neurontin, Lyrica, Dilantin, etc.) which supposedly can help neuropathic pain by controlling misfiring nerves (the cause of seizures.)
As I said, it never helped me the times I tried it, but it didn't bother anything, so I was able to try it for extended periods.

I had to go back on keppra the pain was to much. I thought it also stopped spasms. Well now i know the truth lol :) anty
