Hi all

I have been strugling with severe pain from the bone donor site for the c-4 c-5 fusing of my neck. I have tried every every type of medication under the sun. I finally was reffered to a new doctor that is going to to a nerve block, before the final nerve block he is doing a temp block to see if it helps. I have felt the best I have in years. I am not sure of the temp block or new meds. I have recently had a temp block and med change.
I am trying to get info on the current meds. I have been on the Duragesic 200 for the past year. I reduced to 150 on my own a few weeks back. The doctor reduced to 75 but put me on a drug Antiq 600 4 per day its like a lolipop same family as Duragesic/Fentynl. What is the side affects of this Antiq? Pros/Cons? Has anyone else used it Please anyone with info please le me know the best info I find is from others not the companies selling it suckers.

Thanks Mark

Do a web search for Actiq.

It's fentanyl, like the patch, so the side effects should be the same.

jws:
I have had Actiq for over 3 years, .............Or should I say, Actiq has had me for over 3 years. Psych and Physical dependence BIG TIME.
It's a great drug FOR BREAKTHROUGH PAIN: FAST ACTING, STRONGEST PAIN KILLER OUT THERE (next to heroin or something), TASTES GOOD, GETS THE JOB DONE.

That was the Good: now for the Bad, and Ugly:
- Constipation of the extreme kind
- Toothe decay, yes for sure, but ask for sugerless kind, it's new from mfg.
- Expensive! big co-pay for me, and I'm not Medicare. I understand CalMed has excluded it from pharma coverage.
- There is at least one class action suit I know of against the mfg, I was contacted. SEE BELOW EMAIL TO ME.
