Does anyone have any suggestions for a wheelchair laptop backpack? How about wheelchair backpacks in general?
Manual tilite zra chair, no arm rests, no push handles.
Thanks,
JB
Justin:
I am also in the market for a wheelchair laptop backpack. I'll let you know if I find anything on the net. What is the size of your laptop?

I find that backpacks on the market today are way overengineered for wheelchairs; they have all sorts of padding, etc, that we do not need.
I use a laptop sleeve combined with an extremely minimalistic backpack. I have two sleeves:
The Boot (http://www.spireusa.com/products/BT6.htm) (I like this one best)
Victorinox Vertical Sleeve (http://www.ebags.com/victorinox_swiss_army/cs2_cross_suspension_vertical_computer_sleeve_clos eout/product_detail/index.cfm?modelid=54043)
and I put it in this backpack:
Baggallini Zip-Out Backpack (http://www.ebags.com/baggallini/zip_out_backpack_bagg_rip_stop_nylon/product_detail/index.cfm?modelid=18639) (black, not orange!)

Katja, thanks! It looks like I'm leaning towards "The Boot." My new Dell laptop is 15.4 inches (the next one will be smaller) and the Baggallini Zip-Out Backpack looks slick (in black) but it doesn't state that it is a lap top backpack. By the way, I have a Quickie P-200 power chair.

It's not - the point of the sleeve is to be able to use any bag. The Baggallini is a very minimal nylon backpack, no padding or protection of any kind.
Spire also makes backpacks with removable sleeves: http://www.spireusa.com/products/backpacks.htm

I do the same thing - use a shock resistant padded sleeve and a regular backpack that fits on my chair.
Mine is a Shinza.com Zeroshock sleeve.
my backpack switches out depending on how many things I need to carry, but the jansport that I hv
have gets used more than the others.

Maybe if I had my comp in that some of the time it wouldn't get dented.....
Well....that would only work if I could keep Smokie from knocking it off of the tray tables...lol

I think Case Logic has some good options.
The minimalist backpacks would not work for me so I purchased two Targus Groove Notebook Backpack (http://froogle.google.com/froogle_cluster?q=Targus+Groove+notebook+backpack&pid=2455569348958979350&oid=15084485335432899728&btnG=Search+Froogle&scoring=mrd&hl=en) at Office Depot (2 miles from my home)for $30 each. The backpacks are both black. Thanks for all the suggestions!
