:nono: Hi! I am asking for my cousin he is C2/C3. We are trying to get him a computer and one person said that voice recognition should be on an Intel and the other said a Pentium. Does it matter? Does anyone know. Also would Dragon 8 be useful for him? We are all new to this, so any imput would be very helpful. P.S. He has no hand movement.

Intel makes Pentium.... Like ford makes the mustang. Intel makesa few chips and YES use the Pentium for the voice software. As for what computer search the forum, It's been discussed many times, and you decided based on your money situation what to get.
kmjjdj99, welcome to CC. Sorry to read about your cousin. Intel is the manufacturer that makes the Pentium Processor. AMD also makes the Athlon 64 bit processor and this is also good for Dragon Voice Recognition. You want to make sure that you have at least 1GB of Ram and the Pentium Dual Core Processors are out now but a Pentium 4, 3.0 GHz or higher is good. I'm sure some of our members will chime in with suggestions or answer any questions you may have.
Good luck,
Paul
