Has anyone experience with this site? A friend recommended it for my ceaseless backup problems—access my home computer from work and backup to CDs there. Any thoughts?

Buy an external hard drive. Uploading your files to the internet for backup is not a good idea. You will need a backup of your backup. With the cost of hard drives coming down and space going up it really is cost effective to have an external drive and make all your backups to it. Optical media like CDs and DVDs have been proven to not last as long as they once thought they would. A hard drive platter though doesn't suffer the degridation problem CDs and DVDs do. Having all your files uploaded to the internet makes them vulnerable and available to others should they be able to hack in some how. Not to mention should the company hosting the site go out of business or the hosting company changes and so every thing gets moved and you suffer data loss. Then there is the issue of speed. If you are using dialup it will take more time to upload and download files then it would be to hand deliver them from one pc to the other. The online storage site is good for having a few files that you need back and forth at work. I do this with my web space. I have about 15 programs and some odd documents and things I need access to from both work and home. If this is all you are going to use it for then it is perfect but it is not good for a backup solution.

I use flashdrives to backup my files, mostly the ones I need for school because flashdrives are so small, portable, and durable. The convenience is great, but I do worry about losing it sometimes. It's the only downfall I see to them.

Note: I am noooo computer expert. lol
