I noticed in a PC World article, http://www.pcworld.com/reviews/article/0,aid,124883,pg,16,findid,52516,00.asp
that the Mozilla Firefox browser was in some ways superior to the Microsoft Internet explorer. I must say that I was impressed with the increased speed and other features available from a product that is free of charge. It also appears to consume less memory which enable you to run more programs while it is open. Anyway that's my opinion. Would be interested in others. The article also contained a bunch of other neat software downloads.

I've always liked firefox when on a PC or Linux machine. There are better for Mac.

Whatever browser I use, my browsing habits require tabs. Especially on slow sites, ctrl-clicking to open the link in a tab, then ctrl-w to close the tab when done reading.

I have used it and like it. My computer crashed and I haven't downloaded it again. I think I will go do that now. Thanks for reminding me.

Mine crashed about three weeks ago and, when I got it back up I downloaded only Firefox. The browser (and everything else) runs much faster now. It's a great browser but I may download and try Opera as well.

Would I recommed it? Sure.

I didn't see anything mentioned on the Opera site about automatic form-filling, which is a Mozilla feature I use a lot. Otherwise I'd probably give it a try.

I prefer Opera as well. Opera's auto-fill feature is called Wand (as in magic): http://www.opera.com/features/wand/.

Thanks. It wasn't apparent in the features list.

One issue I have found as I have used Firefox is that I am no longer able to pull up CNN videos from their website. Am I missing an adjustment or feature I need to activate?

Only for Mozila Firefox!
Want more speed?

type about:config into the url address bar (where you type in all the website addresses)

You'll see a bunch of settings in alphabetical order. Scroll down and you'll find the some settings listed below. Change it to those value

network.http.pipelining = true
network.http.proxy.pipelining = true
network.http.pipelining.maxrequests = 8
network.http.pipelining.firstrequest = true
network.http.max-connections = 32
network.http.max-connections-per-server = 16
network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-proxy = 8
network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-server = 8
nglayout.initialpaint.delay = 100 (put 0 is you want faster)

Close and restart Mozilla.You'll notice the speed increased!Atleast worked for me.
Do this on your own risk.No harm,if you want to give it a try,just go for it.You can always reinstall Mozila Firefox!:D
