Dear Dr Huang,
My name is Tassos Tselentis. I am writing to you on behalf of my aunt Mrs Maria Valassis who is suffering from Motor Neurone Disease, with which she has been diagnosed since 2002.
We have heard about you and your work from various reports in the Greek Media and also from Mr Papoulias, who has brought his wife and brother to you last year, and is a great admirer of your work and you as a person!!!
I am attaching herewith a short medical report of my aunt, prepared by my uncle Mr Valassis, which includes the medical reports of Dr MG Hanna of the National Hospital for MNeurology & Neurosurgery in London where she was first diagnosed and treated.
As you will see she has subsequently undergone a second treatment by Dr Plaitakis here in Greece, over the last five months, which at first showed to be stabilising her condition. However the last couple of months we see a rapid deterioration in her strength and stamina which makes us feel very concerned about her future.
We have heard nothing but good words about you and you and your work and for this reason we are sending you her medical report and kindly ask you to review it and to advise us if you believe that your tretment could help my aunt and, if so, when we can come to Beijing. If you need any more information we will be happy to get and provide it to you and, if this is of any use, we can even arrange for a friend of ours who lives in China to come and see you personally to discuss the case at greater extent.
Alternatively, and bearing in mind the quick deterioration of my aunt's health and the long waiting queue, I would appreciate your advice about any colleagues/partners of yours elsewhere (eg in Europe) who follow your method and whom you could recommend to us to contact.
