Nerve Damage

I have had 7 back operations and now have a spinal stimulator , now my urologist is saying the never damage may be the cause of the problems with my bladder having spasms , my questions is this , would my spinal stimulator have caused the nerve damage or was it because of all my back operations? I have heard from other people the internal stimulaters can cause server nerve damage that can't be fixed , and had to have theirs removed and had lots of unrepairable nerve damage , it does seem like my bladder problems did start around the time of my spinal stimulator ,But I don't remember if it was before or not .

It is impossible to say. Any surgery on the spinal cord can cause increased deficits. With multiple spinal surgeries it is also pretty common to see neurologic impairment as a result. Your neurosurgeon would be the best resource for answering these questions.
