www.urocare.com (http://www.urocare.com) The 10oz ones work good for wearing shorts and swim suits, just dont drink too much beer when wearing them.

How do you strap these on? With the reglar leg bag the straps would go just below the knee and at the ankle. With the sport bags under shorts wouldn't the straps go under the thigh? And would/does that cause rubbing and redness?

All I can find is thigh leg bags where we live. My husband would like to use the calf bags but we can't find them. Well the pharmasist is having a hard time finding them. But one of the kinds we find are :Allegiance Leg Bag
Allegiance Healthcare Corporation
McGaw Park, Il 60085-6787
USA

Hope this helps. They come in different sizes too.

The Urocare Sports bag is designed just for this. It is designed to fit on your leg sideways on the thigh. As noted below, it only holds about 10 oz. though, so you do have to empty it more often. You may not be able to wear hot-pants with this, but "baggie" surfer shorts will work fine.

You could also consider a Belly Bag. It won't work well with an external, but can work fine for an indwelling catheter.

overtheline , when i wear shorts [nearly everyday] , i use a 2 lire disposable night bag [simpla brand] .i put the bag in my shorts pocket , make the excess tube in a big loop which i tuck the bottom part of inside the waistband of my shorts and leave my shirt out to hold the top part of the loop and cover the tubing going to the bag in my pocket .

Cara , you can make a thigh bag into a calf bag by buying some more tubing [which should be available from your medical supplies outlet] and extending the tubing so it is long enough to be worn on the calf .

thank you

every day i wake up is a good one .

On the Urocare 10 oz shorts bag, just get it with the optional sports velcro strap. Works good for me, the only problem is when you get a little bit of pee in it you really get a bulge in you shorts leg, so I generally do a cath first and then put it on and not drink too much while I have it on.

Curtis, I am still lost on where the strap/s go? I get that the bag goes side ways on the top of the thigh. So is there just one strap and it goes under the upper leg and along the top long end of the bag? And are there any problems with the extra length of foley tubing? Ok, that may not be a guy problem I guess.

KLD, I've looked at those belly bags but they tend to defeat the entire purpose of wiggling into belly buster underwear. http://sci.rutgers.edu/forum/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif

Yes Sue, there is just one strap that attaches to two cutouts on the bag and runs around the upper leg about 5 inches below the hip. At least with me, there is no tubing required, I just hook the bag directly into my external cath.

Thanks! I got it now Curtis. These legs are going to see the Carribean sun come April and our next cruise. Now to try it out with different lengths of shorts.
