Hi, I am a C5-6 quadriplegic working towards my Ph.D. in clinical psychology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. I am investigating the contribution of cognitive appraisal, coping, activity restriction, and social support in the relationship between pain and depression among persons with spinal cord injury. Please review eligibility criteria below, as we heavily screen, especially non-SCI individuals and persons with no chronic pain. We hope that you will participate in this important study to better understand chronic pain among persons with SCI and complete a one-time telephone survey, which will take around 45 minutes. We only have 10 slots left and provide compensation for participation (Read more at http://www.spinalcord.uab.edu/show.asp?durki=81380&site=1021&return=21777). If you meet eligibility criteria and are interested, please use the toll free number (1-877-686-5300) to contact me and leave me a message, including your name, phone number with area code, and a brief message possibly expressing your interest and where you heard about the study. Also, you do NOT have to be concerned about giving us your number (click the link above), as we are not affiliated with spammers or telemarketers. Either myself or my research assistant, Jamie, will contact you to re-evaluate eligibility and set a convenient date for the interview if you qualify. Thank you for your time.
