Jim, I found some information about this firewall at PC World (http://www.pcworld.com/downloads/file_description/0,fid,22957,00.asp) but I have not used this software. I have a Linksys router for my network and I turn on the built-in Windows XP firewall.

Hi Paul, I use wireless lynksys also, and have their firewall enabled, and have windoz firewall turned on too. Plus Norton has their firewall...I just got a new laptop, and I'm trying to decide which combo to leave enabled, or just leave one.

I've read many articles, and everybody's got a different opinion about this, of course...do you have you router firewall enabled along with windows firewall? And what about AV software, do you use their firewall at all when using the other one or two?

I've had some conflicts, and seem to have resolved most of them by just using lynksys and windows, turning off symantec's firewall...so far, that seems to be the best combo for me.

Let me know how you go about it if you care to share.

Take care friend

Hi Bob,

I feel safe with my NAT Firewall and the built-in Windows XP Firewall may not be the world's greatest but it's good enough and not heavy on system resources.
I use the Panda Titanium 2005 Antivirus with the Firewall turned off and I find that it updates everyday and has an excellent Spyware killer. I know you will turn on WPA encryption and you should be good to go. One thing about the built-in Windows Firewall, it is not bi-directional, which means it does not check data from your computer that is going out to the Internet.
