Little things about XP just irk the sheite outta me :zombie:

For some reason, yesterday and today, when I click on an url link, the new window comes up only at 2/3rds screen. Before it always came up at full screen!
Nothing has been changed by me. Monday am..boot up..pooff..theres the little SOB

Clicking on every new screen to maximize it so I can read it is gettin old.
How do I track him down an kill him??:help:

mine does that if I have had a small window open (pop up ad) and that window is active when I close my browser.

try making sure all windows are maximized then close browser and reopen.

i dislike windoze very much but have to use it for some things.

my main computers are macs. My windoze comp is a dust collection experiement.

Instead of clicking the middle button on the top right to maximize your window use the double arrow in the lower right instead and drag the window to the full size position. When finished browesing make sure the last window closed is the one you manualy resized. When you open your broweser again it should now be full screen size.

To add to what Teyrn wrote. Instead of clicking the "maximize" or "restore" box in the upper right hand area of the window try this. Grab the window and position it so it's in the very uppermost and leftmost position. Then grab the lower-right corner with the double-arrow cursor and pull it (stretch it) to the very lower right-hand corner of the screen. Then close it once. It should reopen in that position from then on.

By the by. Does anyone know if there's a way to do that with a Windows hotkey combo? Doing it manually usually doesn't get it in the EXACT position like hitting the maximize or restore box does.

I use Alt + spacebar and then I press X to maximize. It's essentially the same as clicking maximize (you have to do it a lot), but it's much easier for me than trying to use a mouse.

An easy way to do it is make sure the browser is the only window open then right-click the task bar and choose one of the "Tile Windows xxx" options.

A pretty cool utility I use is the Actual Windows Manager (http://www.actualtools.com/?ref=aim36_menu). It adds some buttons to each window so you can quicky resize, position, pin, etc. a window.
