I am a C4 complete quadriplegic of three years and seven months. Really no sensation below my nipples. So is it possible that I feel the nerve pain or weird tingly feeling where I cannot feel? I have been on Neurontin and now converted to the generic form because of money. Been on it for my whole paralysis life. Just want to make sure I'm not crazy and am actually feeling this.

You are NOT crazy, and you are actually FEELING this. There is a good paper cited on David Berg's site which includes information on the pins and needles.

Quite honestly, I'm not completely sure which article dejerine's referring to, but you can find my website at http://www.painonline.org

There's a good chance you'll find several articles there to catch your interest. And as dejerine says, you are NOT crazy, you really are feeling this. It isn't even all that uncommon for SCI folks to feel neuro pain sensations in areas where you can't feel normal stuff.

Okay just checking. Don't feel like taking medication that I don't need.

i was on neurontin for a short time and once i weaned myself off it i had more sensation and feeling. i can now feel all of my body except the tops of my thighs and shins unless there's a lot of pressure there. mind you not all of it is normal, but it's there.

so how much Neurontin were you on? I was for a period of time on 600mg, and now I take half four times a day. Perhaps I would try getting myself off. I would sure you like to get some sensation. Not sure I would like to feel my catheter. But oh well

Hello KKmay,

You will find that you have some dislocated and / or pinched nerves in your upper back area and it will not get fixed just with pills. If you were living close to me, I would help you by resetting those nerves as I am a specialist in this feel.

If you wish to get some temporary relief, please, visit my Web Site at: " http://ca.geocities.com/painlessjoe/ ".

Good Luck
