That's strange...
Have you tried completely uninstalling flash and then reinstalling? Also see if there are any ActiveX updates on the microsoft site.
You could also look on the Macromedia site for any troubleshooting tips either in their forum or in tech help...

You are using Macromedia Flash 8 http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/install_flash_player.exe and none of the entries in http://www.macromedia.com/cfusion/knowledgebase/index.cfm?id=tn_18889 apply?
Lots of hits on ActiveX http://www.macromedia.com/cfusion/knowledgebase/index.cfm?event=focus&id=7.DQ.1&value=Action.SelectGQ.7^HTA_Installing_Flash&dialogID=68500798&iterationID=1&sessionID=48305f4e335a11235e45&stateID=0+0+16848839&mode=simple&search_text=ActiveX&product=SG_Flash
If none of this helps you may have to re-install FireFox (1.0.7 is the current version).
Cheers!!

I don't use FireFox (I use the Mozilla Suite), but I don't think FireFox supports ActiveX unless you've installed the ActiveX Plugin (http://www.iol.ie/~locka/mozilla/mozilla.htm).

http://www.belarc.com/free_download.html should give us something more to work with.
Cheers!
If none of this helps you may have to re-install FireFox (1.0.7 is the current version).
If you're not using the latest version of Firefox (1.0.7) you will want to download the current release with the new security updates (Netcraft). (http://news.netcraft.com/archives/2005/09/09/new_vulnerability_in_firefox_browser.html)
I would advise against installing the ActiveX plugin for Firefox because then you are running the same risks found in Internet Explorer.
Can you provide us with a link to this website so we can take a look? Have you considered using multiple browsers, such as Mozilla or Opera?
This worked for me. Uninstall your active x plug in > reboot > go back to site in firefox and let browser install and configure the active x.

I have the latest version of Firefox. But i downloaded ActiveX plugin by accident. I've uninstalled Firefox and installed it again and that didn't fix the problem. I like firefox the best that's why i'm try to fix the bug. the same thing happen to me with Internet Explorer, but with that i couldn't view flash or download. My brother in law help me fix all the things that were wrong then and he brought firefox and mozilla on a disc. So anyway is there something i can do to fix this now?

as you can see this part of the Harley-Davidson site i can see flash, the rest of it i can't. I had to go through the site map to get to it. heres the link: Harley-Davidson Flash i can see (http://www.harley-davidson.com/PR/GM/CUST/en/customization.asp?locale=en_US&bmLocale=en_US)
and some pictures.

Also the flash at this part of the Dell (http://www1.us.dell.com/content/products/productdetails.aspx/xpsdt_400?c=us&cs=19&l=en&s=dhs) website works. But nowhere else on the Dell website.

Have you tried completely uninstalling both Firefox and Flash, and then reinstalling them? I'm trying to think of something... some sites suggest reverting back to Flash 7 and trying that.
Running the BelArc adviser and posting the results would be helpful.
Superx02, thanks for posting the link to the Harley Davidson web site along with the attached images. I was able to use the Accessories Customizer with Firefox, Mozilla and Internet Explorer without a problem. I did not need to install the ActiveX plugin.
I am on the same page with Han and Steven with regards to running the BelArc adviser.

Thanks superx02.
The report included a list of CD Keys for the applications you had, so I replaced it with just a list of your installed software. The report labeled one Windows Hotfix as needing to be reinstalled.

I see you have Windows Media Player. You may have installed ActiveX because of this.
If you type "about: plugins" --no space after the colon (where you would usually type http://....) it will show you what you have.
In http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?p=1514789#1514789 they suggest that you don't need the ActiveX for WMP and that it conflicts with Flash.
It has instructions on how to uninstall ActiveX.
I just hope this is not a "one step forward, two steps back" :D situation.
Cheers!

thanks for all the help LaoziSailor, Steven and PN. the link to the mozilla forum showed me how to get rid of activex. though i don't know if that was the problem, i deleted it any how. the problem was the newest version of the ad block plug in. i found that out when i made a new profile and you start from the beginning. as soon as i put the ad block plug in, in the flash was gone. deleted it and flash was back. the older version i was able to configure, the new one for some reason wouldn't. so anyway...thanks a lot guys.:)
