There's a post somewhere @ finding someone's ISP address if you get an email.
Anyone?

An IP address? Make sure you can view the extended headers. As an example, here's the headers from a recent spam:
Received: from 200-158-223-2.dsl.telesp.net.br ([200.158.223.2])
by rwcrmxc12.comcast.net (rwcrmxc12) with SMTP
id <20050917154132r1200gsbl6e>; Sat, 17 Sep 2005 15:41:42 +0000
X-Originating-IP: [200.158.223.2]
Received: from yeyk7 (DNDGKJ.aurant.com[61.147.219.229])
by aurant.com (wdybfg60) with SMTP

boundary="--8kxBYibNZBICIXYa7N" If there's no X-Originating-IP, check the lowest "Received" header and the From address should be the right one (but not always).
To do a lookup, go here (http://www.t1shopper.com/tools/traceroute/) and enter the IP address to trace it. You won't always be able to get an exact location (e.g., AOL users ), but you can usually get pretty close.
Hope this helps. :)

I split this thread because the conversation was veering toward another subject. The other messages are here (http://carecure.org/forum/showthread.php?t=52242).
