I got a FEVER!!! That's frikkin awesome!
Yeah, I was totally jammin here in the lab. That's a great song for a workout video. Be a good dance tune at a club, too.
The problem is that now I really want an uppertone! Damn, that machine looks useful. Even us quads can really work out with one of those badboys.
Thanks, Shaun..... and oh yeah..... great video editing! :applaud:

That is very, very, very inspiring...I'm a T12 incomplete and after seeing that video I'm ashamed of myself. I need to see if my equipment budget will fund awsome equipment like you have (I doubt it will!). Keep up the great work!

I got exhausted just watching it. Time for me to grab a beer, pour a shot and spark up another cigarette. :)
I'm kind of just kidding. Everyone should have an exercise routine and way to go Shaun.
Dontcha just hate those hanger-onners in a group who play the cowbell or tamborine? Especially when they get a lot of camera exposure. Hey, but if anyone here has a band and are in need of a cowbell or tamborine player feel free to PM me.

its made specifically for quads
check it out. great machine, takes some space though, like w/ mine i cant get to the bicep curl part, so i improvise and use the frt lat pull part to do sideway bicep curls

Shaun,
That video is frikken' awesone! This C5/C6 complete quad has been inspired. I also checked out your bed transfer video. Holy crap you're strong! You may have a tad more function than me, but your strength blows me out of the water. I think you've sold me on the Uppertone. :D

Fuente....thanks for the link....
how much does it cost? i think the biggest benefit would be that i would be able to do it without anyone strapping me in, you know?

MG that pic must have been taken right after i shaved it :D
Thanks the kind words guys, reading what others take away from it,is where i gain my motivation to do more..
My insurance paid for it so im not sure of the exact cost, something makes me think between 3500-4000cad.It takes up alot of space,i'll measure how much space im using and give you some numbers..
2jazzy,everything you see other than my Weider benchpress is the same machine. You can do benchpress on the uppertone as will,i just prefer the weider.I can squeeze a workout in in about an 1-1 1/2hrs,usually first thing in the morning after my morning roll..
Jayday, where it looks like my hands gripping it, there just sitting there you dont need any fingers or grip for anything..ive never paid attention to how much weight im lifting,i'll have to get back to you on that..
Shaun

SuzieQ..Personal trainer eh! Clothing optional? Ya know there was a study done about...uuuhh yaaaa...no there wasnt, thats just me..
Herco i been representin ugly since 19 70 and one hair or no hair.If i didnt post my grille around here there would be no balance..:D
Powerwheels that song would be Sho-Core's ''Right on'' from the album Evilution, pick it up man you'll love it..Vancouver boys.
Betheny i better not find any dust bunnies around here or i fear the ensuing fear i would set would leave me homeless..
Again thanks everyone..im gonna dive into my pizza, drink 3 beer, smoke a cigarette, flop on the couch and eat a bag of extra zesty dorritos now..:D

shaun, what length is that and color
jayday9
09-20-2005, 03:03 PM
fuente, youve never used thera-bands?
shaun, you dont look at how much weight youre doing? lol
so do you just count the amount of plates youre doing? you have to have some way of knowing how much to do for each excercise....

awesome video. wow, you have some great equiptment. im jealous.....
Shaun
09-20-2005, 06:15 PM
The Band is blue and kinda long so theres a big ass knot in it but the length would be your preference..
Jayday as funny as it sounds its true.I have 60pds aside, but the machine is geared that you slide the weights up and down the arm there set on,there are set in quarter increments from 1-l-l-l-2 up to 10...So when im actually working out (which i wasnt doing in the video, the weights down and im going through the motions, hence no grunting)...im curling 60pds at setting 9 1/2....my deltoid press is 60pds at 6 1/2..my lat pulls are 60pds at 7 3/4 and so on and i lost the sheet that came with it telling me what the weights are..So i really have no clue :)
Thanks Josh,i have a Saratoga also which i wanted to put in the vid but i lend it out to the newly injured guys to try out over the summer and take it back when it starts gettin to cold for my morning rolls.

09-20-2005, 07:57 PM
ok...so you are just going by memory, thats fine....i thought you were just throwing whatever weight you felt like each time without any kind of structure to it.....
Shaun
09-27-2005, 03:27 PM
awesome shauna. a little tip to isolate those shoulders better while doing delt raises 1.,) do one arm at a time 2.) do 3 sets w/ palm up as well, this really targets the rear delt......just a few things ive learned over the years
So tried palms up and must be getting the technique wrong..picture please :D
The reason i do the rows one hand at a time is because i can pull more weight without worrying about my balance and because this best represents to me pulling open big heavy glass doors and such...

"i wasnt doing in the video, the weights down and im going through the motions, hence no grunting"
NOW YOU TELL US !
I spent ages looking at your video, thinking "how the hell is he doing that so fast?"
I then went on my Uppertone and tried to do as you were with my weight settings, with no chance of being able to do the deltoid lifts.
I came off thinking I'd gone up a level!
Now I don't feel so bad!
Simon :)

LMAO..Sorry Simon..but hey man,its all about proper technique anyways..and i tend to swear out loud and alot while im workin out :D

Shaun,
Why do you use a seperate machine for chest presses, and what kind of machine is that (url?)?
Shaun
10-14-2005, 04:00 PM
Hey Justin,
Its just a basic Weider home gym.I prefer the chest press on it over the Uppertone because im not just pushing out but im also pushing up,and my chest feels way more worked doing it this way.I dont mind the press on the Uppertone at all,i still do it from time to time but i can really feel the difference between the two.I'll see if i can find a url,i bought it at Wal-Mart.
