For those c6/7 quads who transfer independently, i just wanted you to know Electrologic is changing their very contoured seat to a straight back design with less height in the seat. Heather said people will be able to trade in their current seat for the new one when it comes out in about 6 months. if anyone has input please send it to Heather. the more feedback or information we provide them to consider and integrate into the design, the better the product. i mentioned to her the need for a balance bar so a safer transfer is ensured and she agreed to pass that on to Steve Petrofsky. i appreciated the quick responsiveness to my concerns. they are sending me a new seat next week.

Remember to E mail them what you want in a seat or machine as a whole that would make it work better for you.

Thanks Claire. This is good stuff. Nothing like consumer advocacy at work. My beef is with the pin locks on the arm rests. I'll be sure to pass it on to Heather.

Good deal Claire. I knew Heather would help you.

Guys,
This is the first time i've experienced how powerful a group can be. when i told Heather i posted the bike was not quad friendly, i felt her shudder through the phone. she was concerned about me bashing the bike. i reframed it, and said i was educating our consumer. this group can wield changes with our numbers. I don't think that pin is easy either. Lar, i'd put a ring through it somehow so one would just have to rotate their finger. What would you do? also, it should be a level transfer. gee whiz, the bike costs 14 grand, if it's feasible it should happen!!!!!!!!!!!

I like the ring idea. It should work. The level transfer issue might be more difficult, because of the angle at which you need to sit to ride the bike. Perhaps some light hydraulic under the seat might work. Adding this as an option might be a good idea.
