I'm looking for some weightlifters to swap info with. I am t-10. I do everything all the other lifters do except legs. Thinking about going competitive. I dont know how they would handle weigh-ins. Has anybody done this before? The meets are open so I would be up against my weight class ab or not. Before you ask no I am not a poser. My paragut is still here even with all the crunches. Here is a recent pic of me with my grand-dad.

Can't remember...are you a veteran? They have weight lifting as an event at the NVWGs and you should be able to contact someone involved by posting a letter to the editor in Sports 'n Spokes.

seneca, thanks. No, I do nothing with my legs. I was standing and training with RGOs but after they blistered my feet the second time I quit. The benefits of healthy feet outweigh standing. Before SCI I was addicted to running and I think that is why my legs are still "healthy" looking.

You don't have to be service connected to participate in the NVWG (or to be a PVA member). All veterans with disabilities that cause them to use a wheelchair are equally eligible for participation.
