for Lokomat. Yay! I have the reflexes needed and the researcher said, "You're perfect...right in the 'thick of it." It doesn't start 'til January. I'll keep you guys posted.

Bannock, treadmill training is called laufband and a man by the name of Wernig in Bonn has been leading this research. It is very exciting what he has done to change the attitudes towards recovery from spinal cord injury. Wise.
Andrea, I am very curious about how the Lokomat deals with spasticity. The people I have spoken with told me that it basically shuts down after encountering sufficient resistance. (ie: from a strong spasm)
New software is supposed to correct this. Please let us know your experience. thanks!

OK, now they tell me that I must go through and get medical records a recent evaluation of ROM, transfers, and now the machine is not ready.. WTF????
I am disapointed about the delay and the awful words http://sci.rutgers.edu/forum/images/smilies/eek.gif http://sci.rutgers.edu/forum/images/smilies/eek.gif http://sci.rutgers.edu/forum/images/smilies/eek.gif "it may not help at all"
Sorry, but I don't have 5,000 or more just to throw away in Chicago. Don't know what to do with this news.. Thanks Seneca and others for the Congrads. Maybe in a few months, such BS, they told me I was perfect over the phone. I packed my bags got ready and here I sit "of course" in Houston doing nothing to better this situation called life.. SOOOOO Sad. Perhaps I would be better spending my money on something better. http://sci.rutgers.edu/forum/images/smilies/frown.gif http://sci.rutgers.edu/forum/images/smilies/frown.gif http://sci.rutgers.edu/forum/images/smilies/frown.gif
