Hi All,
I've recently been experiencing pain in my right hip when I lay on my right side. I'm a C4 quad. I've had problems w/my right hip for years now. It started with a sharp pain deep inside my hip joint when I move certain ways e.g. externally rotating my right thigh even SLIGHTLY. I used to ride an Ergys bike regularly but can no longer ride and the pain started a week after I stopped riding. I've had x-rays, MRI'S and ultrasound, all negative. One doc said it might be soft tissue build up, which wouldn't show up on any test. Range of motion does help this pain. But the new only occurs when I try to lie on my right side and the pain is local to the outside of the hip in the muscle & bone, maybe the start of a pressure soar? The skin looks fine. I've tried memory foam and that was too hard, maybe worse than my mattress. Looked at down featherbed toppers bud they'd be too soft.
Anyone had experience w/this? I know about Clinitron beds but don't want to go that route if possible. I do use a Lidoderm patch on the hip at night and that helps a bit but not enough. Any help w/this is greatly appreciated.
Daniel
