Neorautenenia mitis, an African plant, is reported in Nigeria to help central pain, when an extract of the root is made in methanol. How in the heck do Nigerians know about central pain when American doctors don't even know about it!
It is a strange world we live in. See Vongtau, Journal of Ethnopharmacology June pp. 317-24

It's sure not very impressive looking. Obviously, you can't judge a book by it's cover, right?

For anyone doing a search on this, it's also spelled "Neorautanenia mitis". There's just one "e" that's replaced with an "a".
