View Full Version : Band Around Chest Hypersensitive

I have pain at my injury level that feels like a band around my chest. I am a T3-T4 complete. The pain is very hypersensitive, and hurts under my armpits and around my back.
Has any one experienced any thing like this and has anyone had any luck in treating this type of pain.

I'm T6, and had what you speak of. It went away after about a year post.
I too have experienced this also. I'm a T-10 complete and have the same feeling of a band being rapped around my stomach. I have found that if it is really bad I will put on a velcro heat wrap around my stomach with the heat pads against my back. These seem to help for about 8 hours or so. You can get them and any major food/pharmacy chain store.

I have the exact same pain. I am t-2 incomplete. I take no meds though and after 5.5 months post I have noticed the pain subside.

This sounds similar to what is also described as the "MS hug". Do a search on that and see if anything sounds familiar. Everyone with MS who experiences this agrees that "hug" is a cozy term for a misserably painful sensation.
