Just curious if anyone has used the lidocaine patches for nerve pain and what the results if any were.

My doc has prescribed it for me.

Thanks

no patches, but i get trigger point injections with it every 3-4 months and it's the only thing that works for my back pain. didn't actually know there were patches.

Angel,I at one time was used the patches for nerve pain on my leggs.I would put the patch on the spot where i was having the most trouble but after a while it didnt seem to help even if I put 2 patches on my legg so I stoped.Another thing I was worried that it would damage the nerves in my leggs and that was another reason I decided not to use them anymore. Stratman~

Yup. there are patches out now, but I don't think that they have ever tested on SCI nerve pain per se. But my doc is optomistic that it may work for me.

However because that are so new, there is no generic and it is considered the highest part on my co-pay with insurance. Ack!

Best wishes!

They only work on the non-paralyzed parts of my shoulders, arms, and my neck. No effect on pained areas in my paraylzed parts.

I tried the patches. They did not work for me above or below my injury level.
