I am a C5 incomplete with significant central nerve pain. After going through the routine of trying several drugs which did not help very much, my doctor suggested using a bachlifin pump.If baclofin did not work we could then use morphine.

Has anyone used one of these pumps for central nerve pain and gotten any relief?

You could always have a trial with baclofen, and one with morphine. No responsible doc will implant a pump until a trial shows it to be worthwhile.

Mike,
I got the Baclofen pump for uncontrollable spasms and I don't think baclofen is really a painkiller drug, but I have developed severe pain from 55degree scoliosis and shot misaligned shoulders. My Dr. said he may try to mix a painkiller such as dilaudid with the baclofen to help get control of the pain problem.I had a neurosurgeon install the pump and do the pretest to make sure it would work.WR
