i was wondering if anyone who has severe cronic pain
has ever been on a med called ultratram. i currently take
t-3 for pain but i have been experiencing a lot of break through
pain at the end of the day and at waking me at night.
any input would be greatly appreciated
I take the maximum dosage allowed (100 mg 4x/day) for my central pain. It is supposed to supplement the Neurontin. If, as I suspect, your doctor is giving you Ultram for Central Pain (the burning tingles) I would suggest you speak to him about taking Neurontin as well.
There used to be a good website to learn about central pain ( www.painonline.com (http://www.painonline.com) ) but I have not been able to bring it up lately. Try www.pain.com (http://www.pain.com) and search for central pain. I learned there is little that can be done for it. Have you tried low doses of antidepressants for the pain? Consult a good physiatrist (physical medicine doctor) to find out what the latest treatments are nowadays.

TD,
The painonline.com domain is tied up in a tangled mess with trying to get the domain name transfered. The most polite I can be is to say that Network Solutions is a major pain in the &$%#!!!
I finally gave up and opened the site a little over a year ago at http://www.painonline.org Hopefully I'll get the other domain online again, but at least the site is online and available.
