Drawbacks on Pain Cocktail for pumps

I checked into having a pain cocktail put into my intrathecal Baclofen Pump and learned that such mixtures can have serious drawbacks. Morphine can (and usually does) cause hallucinations, lidocaine will interfere with existing sensations (think what it would be like to have that numbed tooth feeling all over your body http://sci.rutgers.edu/forum/images/smilies/eek.gif ) which can cause problems with bowel and bladder, etc., etc. If your pain is excruciating you may want to try the mixture on a test basis. Personally, I did not think it would be worth it.
