I cant handle this pain!

Ok this pain in my lower back is geting to the point of me going to the ER for a shot of something!

I also get this sharp pain in my left side,under my ribs..ITs so painful when i get it, it stops me in my tracks, and i have to hold my breath until it passes(only a second, but feels like forever) what is that?

My right side,lower back pain feels like my muscles along my spine are in a tight spasim...its constant pain though. It feels kinda like someone is taking my upper body and Winding me up! I strech,do twists,rub it, take Perc. and NOTHING helps!

Im going to see the dr. this week and figure this out. Im also goin to the Neurosurgen in 3 weeks to review my bone scan to see if im healed enough to get these rods OUT!

does anyone else experience such pain? why is this? whats causing it?? HELP ME PLEASE!! At least if i have some input i can share it with my dr.s.

Wish I had some good advice for you. Maybe some of the various meds that didn't help me will help you.

I think that you should seriously consider having the rods removed. The symptoms that you describe appear to be emanating from the back and may be related to stress of the rods on the spinal column at the attachment points. They do not sound like classic neuropathic pain. Once the spinal fracture site has healed, it is very strong and the rods are no longer needed. I have known many people who have had relief of the kind of pain that you describe when their rods were removed. It doesn't mean that all the pain will go away but it may help. Wise.
