Has anyone used interthical(?) clonidine to reduce pain? If so, what dosage? I have a bacolfen pump right now and the bacoflen alone has not helped the pain. I have tried all of antidepressants, narcotics, acupuncture, a sacral ryzotomy. The only thing that helps is vallium and that is very short lived not to mention it wipes me out.

What is your injury level? How long post accident?
Bacloflen will not help the pain alone. It is used more for the spasm and spactic movements.
Have you asked your Dr's about putting Morephine or Phentanol in your pump along with the Bac?
The clonidine will help tremendously but not alone. It works in combinations with the other drugs.

I'm wondering the same question. I recently had a baclofen pump put in for spasticity and to see if it would help with my severe, chronic nerve pain. I'm still going up on the dosage, but have not gotten any relief from the baclofen yet. My doctor said he would add some pain medication once I get to a level of the baclofen I'm going to stay at. I've also tried every kind of pain medication and nothing worked or only worked for a short time (Neurontin, Elavil, Pamelor). So the baclofen pump was my last option. I'm curious what dosage of intrathecal baclofen you are on? Has the baclofen pump alone helped anyone else with pain?
