Ok,my house is for sale, the moving co is about to be selected, and I'm clueless and scared about what I need to do to move 3000 miles. We'll be driving out to Washington from Connecticut in our Olds Intrique.Should I get a temp foley? What else should I think about to prepare? This is my first outing since my T10-11 injury 2 yrs ago. Thanks for any help

I would not recommend an indwelling catheter since you can still cath just fine on a car trip. You can cath in the car if you don't have an accessible bathroom. You wouldn't be the first to dump urine on the side of the road.

Using the indwelling will increase your risk of UTI, and you don't want to go through that when you are traveling.

Have you already lined up motels? Don't depend on just finding an accessible motel room in outer Poeduck. It is best to book ahead if at all possible.

Be sure to sit on your cushion for those long drives, and get out an stretch at least every 4 hours (or when you get gas). Be careful with hot car parts and asphalt...you will be traveling in some really hot areas for August between the Left and Right Coasts. Don't let yourself get dehydrated as this can also increase your risk for DVT (similar to flying).
