Do you know any book/article/site about rehab and swimming specifically for SCI?
Thanks!

Try "Overcoming Paralysis : Into the Water and Out of the Wheelchair" by Igor Burdenko & Scott Biehler.
You can read more about Dr. Burdenko's water therapy at:
www.burdenko.com/ (http://www.burdenko.com/)
She was determined to teach me to swim. The first time I panicked and really needed her she picked me up by my waist leaving my face in the water! Oh man, I couldn't believe it!! When I could finally breathe again I really chewed her out about that but she took it well. I learned most everything on my own but she did encourage me to learn to float at first which was really helpful. Anyone with good arm movement and was a swimmer before injury should be able to learn to swim with assistance from someone they trust. I've seen C4s in the pool floating with therapists' help. It's a great activity that eliminates all pressure on the body for a while. I highly recommend it. http://sci.rutgers.edu/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif
