Hey Guys! I'm a die-hard Canucks fan, and I was just wondering if anyone else here is a hockey-nut. I never heard anyone mention it here before. And the playoffs are here, so I'm really pumped and wondering if anyone else is?

We're in , I knew we'd get in though we're playing so hot, we've been the best team in leauge since xmas. Hey gvinton and Handibob! Do you believe how close our conference is. Still yet today after our game against Calgary, we could end up anywhere from 4th to 8th. So we could play either your Wings Handibob, or your Kings gvinton. What a wild race. Personally I'd much rather play your Wings Handibob cause we'll have an easier time beating them than anybody cause their old and we're a younger faster leaner meaner team. It will be exciting all right. Yeah and those Kings are doing awesome too, just hope Felix dosen't fold on guys in the playoffs! Oh Shaun who are you talking about the Leafs rolling over?

As the Canucks probably wont get of the first round it wont be them http://sci.rutgers.edu/forum/images/smilies/tongue.gif,but you are a brave one especially thinkin that Detroit, probably with the most playoff experienced players in the league would be easy. The regular season dont meen nothin but position now and i dont think young Dan Cloutier is gonna do it for ya and the rest of dandies are gonna be tough enough for playoff style hockey other than Bertuzzi and Jovo:D.Anyhoo MAPLE LEAFS nough said http://sci.rutgers.edu/forum/images/smilies/cool.gif.Not to many hockey fans around EH!

Gee Shaun, you obviously haven't been following the Canucks at all my dear. Even when Scotty was asked who he least wanted to meet in the playoffs, and he said Vancouver. We have scored more goals than anyone in league, including Detroit so we'll see Bucko, besides we've already got our 2nd round playoff tickets, so there! Pipe that in your put and smoke it!! http://sci.rutgers.edu/forum/images/smilies/tongue.gif

Yep 8th, Bring on Detroit, we'll do em in 6, and you're gonna eat your words. Toughness won't be a problem, not in the playoffs, the only problem will be staying out of the box, cause all the Wings do is clutch and grab, I'd loose patience with that crap too! Why are you a Leaf fan, if you lived here? Just curious did you happen to know a Glen or Clint S. over there? Anyway what a awesome series this is gonna be, I hope Handibob's ready to go down in 6. I'll be watching the Leaf-Islander series too, my hubby's from T.O. and a die-hard Leaf fan too. Hey Emi, Sorry about your Oil, I really wanted them to get in, they're my 2nd team, next year! PS. Yeah I know what ya mean, not alot of hockey fans aye, Hockey Rules! http://sci.rutgers.edu/forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif

Im not warmin my fryin pan for crow yet sister,i watched that game to and those were some pretty flaky goals babe http://sci.rutgers.edu/forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif As for the Canuckle heads against the blue white,be hard for your boys to win when there layin all over the ice sobbing ''that hurt'' http://sci.rutgers.edu/forum/images/smilies/tongue.gif . Handibob i got question me and the boys were hopin you could answer for us,whats with the octopie bein thrown on the ice? is there sometype of history behind that?

~Shaun~

monkeygirl
04-18-2002, 10:21 AM
Here's the "History Of the Octopus"

The octopus first made it's appearance on April 15, 1952, during the Red Wings' Stanley Cup playoff run.

Two Detroit brothers, Pete and Jerry Cusimano, who owned a fishmongers in the Eastern Market, threw one on the ice at Olympia Stadium. Each tentacle of the octopus was symbolic of a win in the playoffs. Back then, the NHL consisted of just the origional six teams, and eight wins (two best-of-seven series) were needed to win the Stanley Cup. The Red Wings swept the series that year, and the Octopus has come to be the good luck charm ever since.

The tradition carried over to Joe Louis Arena on opening night in 1979 when several of the cepholopods found their way onto the ice.

During the 1995 playoffs, Bob Dubisky and Larry Shotwell, co-workers at a meat and seafood retail company near Detroit, tossed a 38-pound octopus onto the ice during the National Anthem prior to Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals. The year after, the duo struck again with a 50-pounder in the Conference Finals. Although the feat received no air time on the nationally broadcast game, the octopus was proudly displayed on the hood of the Zamboni between periods.

OH, and who's gonna have us crying "that hurt," "Pull the jersey over your head then "Turtle Domi" I don't think so!!

Domi's only one part of your problem, how about Cross,Belak,Berg,Mcabe and Corson,Roberts will you get the picture no team in the NHL can take the physical game away from the LEAFS certainly not the Canucks http://sci.rutgers.edu/forum/images/smilies/cool.gif

It's pretty bad when Stevie Y is their best player and his only got one good leg. Maybe they'll bring Gordie Howe back, he could probably show them how to play.

Hey all,
right now in our hockey pool at school there are 50 teams! Not bad for a school of 225. Anyways, i think the same way monkeygirl does and took a lot o canucks. There's going to be a lot of sad people in the second round with no redwings. I'm a huge senators fan but didn't trust them enough to take many of their players. They looked darn good last night though and i might have made a mistake. oh well, hope the canucks, sharks, burins and leafs make the conference finals for the sake of the pool.

looks like it's best of three now. stevey y is the captain for a reason. what do you have to say now monkeygirl.

monkeygirl
04-24-2002, 12:35 PM
I don't know why they're not playing as well as they were before the playoffs, it sucks. It's pretty hard to do anything, with those guys clutching and grabin though. And of course stevie y, dosen't help, I can't believe him, he's the best player on the team and he's only got one leg, and still we won't take him out. It's maddening, sure you respect the guy, but you still have to hit em, and they don't, I'd be nailing him every chance I had! Can't knock him too much though, as he is B.C. born and bred. We breed the best here! I sure hope they do next game, or else! Well best of 3 now, lots of good hockey left. Oh I wonder where shaun is after his leafs got smoked big time ouch 6-1. He must be putting his broom back in the closet (hee hee) hope the door slams his ass on the way out! http://sci.rutgers.edu/forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif

Shaun
04-24-2002, 01:24 PM
Like you said theres a million excuses,as for steeeevy y they cant hit what cant catch bad leg and all http://sci.rutgers.edu/forum/images/smilies/tongue.gif And yes i did put my broom away but not before i chased that crow away from door that has no business being there. The LEAFS loss last night is all part of the plan to finnish the series at home thats all.Dont worry when the band wagon comes rollin threw Vancouver you hop on then http://sci.rutgers.edu/forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif Tonight will be a different story you'll see, will stay outta box and there'll be only one more to go at home..

No Sundin, you're really in trouble now, leaf lovers. Sorry to say, but you can right off the playoffs now! It sure sucks aye! So you guys will just have to jump on the Canucks wagon when it comes your way, there's still some spots for you guys. Don't be too upset, we were gonna win all along anyway, now it's just more obvious that's all. Especially after todays game when Burt, Nazzy and Morrison are gonna do major damage, no more pussy footing around, enough is enough! Na na na na, hey hey hey, goodbye! Glad your back in it too gvinton, the only Ave player I like is Joe Sakic. Can't beleive that shit McLaren pulled on Zednick, I hope they do him in next year, he better not be back this year! Nah, I'm not too bummed, we had an awesome comeback season. It's pretty cool being the hottest team since xmas, it was a blast, super exciting, offensive, high scoring hockey, the way it was meant to be played. I just finished listening to the nucks season in review on sportstalk, and wow what a season it was, geez, I actually teared up a bit, I guess my hubby's right, I am the most intense hockey fan he know's, I get pretty emotional with my team. Oh well I can't wait till Sept., and we go at it again! Look out everybody!!

Geez Shaun! Whats with your Leafs man, they better get it together, I can't beleive they lost tonights game. A Leafs vs Frogs game would be deadly! Oh and yeah I do wish we had a Tucker too, he would've taken out Stevie Y no problem. Hey Shaun, I wouldn't be tute tuting yet there Bucko! They were lucky to get that win last night. Cujo again saved your life! Yup real lucky if they woulda lost again, you could have wrote them off. I hate to admitt it but the only team capable of coming from a two game decifit is handibobs ol' farts, cause of their calm and cool maturity. (gag) I can't believe I said that. Fear the blue and white monster( yeah right, Im shakin in my wheels, and the Sens in their skates) I don't think so! oh yeah you really believe that Bure's gonna turn the rangers around Shaun. Not! He's too selfish, and there are way to many high priced over-paid ego's on that team, the chemistry in the room will be like a poison. Money and ego don't win cups my dear, heart and workhorses win cups. Hence the Canucks will win it, before the Rangers do! No offence Dave! As for Bure, since the Rangers picked him up he's puttin up points am i right, most of which in assists right? I understand your bitterness towards him though, show me a Canuck fan who doesnt feel that way http://sci.rutgers.edu/forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif Anyhoo,i believe the Leafs will rise above the Sens it will take all 7 games though.

Will Nate once again the Sens find themselves crushed beneath the claws of the BLUE & WHITE MONSTER.They did it without Sundin,Renberg,Yushkyvich, will you get the picture! I dont think the Sens could beat the ST Johns Maple Leafs, which by the way in case you missed it they became aquainted with during the series http://sci.rutgers.edu/forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif .I think now is the time for you and ''others'' to send your address to 'ONCE WAS LOST BUT NOW AM FOUND.LEAFS RULE THE HOCKEY WORLD.COM' so they no where to send the bandwagon to get ya,somewhere near the slough of Manitoba magic water i would suspect http://sci.rutgers.edu/forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif ..All in fun brother, maybe next year Peace bro...

What a drag, I really really wanted to see them take this series (but even my hubby actually said they "suck", not a happy camper I might add,) but, well I don't think so buddy. So, in all reality now, the only team that deserves to take Lord Stanley is the ol' farts, and they'll probably drink warm milk out of it, but hey whatever, they'll win it fare and square, if you don't take into consideration the amount of they're payroll!

Besides, I knew that once they beat us, no one would beat them. First off Shaun, I guess ur' right, I'll give ya one more game, if Cujo stands on his head again, ya never know! I wrote you guys off already, will ya forgive me? http://sci.rutgers.edu/forum/images/smilies/frown.gif Same as the Ave's, geez it's a weird series too. I sure hope the final won't be Ave's vs Canes. That would suck royally. Ave's in 4, they'd smoke em big-time. But hey who knows aye, don't yah just luv play-off hockey! Unless of course the final is 2 Yankee teams. But then again they're pretty much all Canadian players anyway. http://sci.rutgers.edu/forum/images/smilies/tongue.gif It would just be nice to bring Stanley home where he belongs!!!!!! PS. Chicken wings (lol)

how silent everyone got? I hear crickets.

Especially those wing fans? What's wrong, did you get smothered by an AVALANCHE!

3-2 series with game 6 tomorrow in Denver. Yeah!

Never count out the defending champs of any sport, its bad karma.

or is it roy roy roy? chris if it wasn't for roy and forsberg you guys would'nt even be in this thing. don't hold your breath these wings don't have this many hall of famers for no reason. they know how to play under pressure and home ice is definitely not an advantage for any team in these playoffs. quiet? nah.. just haven't had time to respond. bob

Chris Chappell

Leafs. Nice knowing you.

Better luck next year.

Bob, no doubt about Forsberg, Roy. In fact Peter's probably playing the best of anyone in the playoffs. My guess is fresh legs. Roy is Roy. Granted all the hall of famers on the wings but hall of famers don't always add up to championships.

Tonight, we feast on wings!

Do you guys believe that? Gee what a horrible way to go out hey Chris, after the last 6 great games, down-right embarrassing, Oh well, Bob must be a pretty happy camper after a smoke-show like that. I was expecting the best game all series, what a shocker! To me that was going to be the cup final, the 2 best teams down to the wire, a one goal game in ot.,what a drag. The playoffs are pretty much over now, the wings will just go through the motions to get Stanley in 4. Congrats Bob, it's been a slice! See ya's all in Sept. Enjoy it this year, cause the cups our's next year http://sci.rutgers.edu/forum/images/smilies/tongue.gif Actually when Stevie brings the cup home to BC, he'll probably just leave it here, (he knows better) http://sci.rutgers.edu/forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif

So much for my ice packs, I cancelled them, cause of this friggin surgery I had. Things just aren't right, too much pain and uncertainy with this bod of mine. Had to look at it realisticly, you know, like pain and may-be another surgery who knows? Plus I can't even get in and out of my car yet. So the hubby has to put me in and out of the truck. If for some reason he couldn't lift me,( always hurting himself (mountain biker) we'd be screwed. Can't risk wasting all that money on tics if we can't go for sure. It sucks. Oh well at least I can watch the games on the tube, and catch a few live games I hope. The home opener on Oct 12th against the Sharks for sure, I better be able too, or I'll loooose it!!!!!!!

Welcome Debbi! I'm ready alright, Shaun, it couldn't be soon enough. The prospect camp is starting next week, I wish I could get out and see them, that would be pretty good hockey. Guys playing their hearts out trying to make the big league, we've got a couple spots to fill and they want them spots bad. We're the same team as last year, no need to disrupt what we've been building, it's working out just fine.

We are going to absolutely rock this year, we're picking up where we left off, scoring the most goals in the league and being the best team since xmas. ( yeah yeah, excluding playoffs)Difference this season: We're coming outta the gate smoking not half way through, so need I say "Look out everyone, The Nuck's are coming to a town near you to smoke your teams butts bigtime!" And no, I will not be eating any crow, and you can take that to the bank my friends!!! http://sci.rutgers.edu/forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif

I'm here too. Did ya hear the Queen is coming here and dropping the puck at the game on Sunday. I never really was interested in the Queen and the Royal Family and all that stuff, but geez now I've got a whole new respect for her. She must be highly intelligent and know her sports and that Hockey Rules, and even more brilliant in choosing the BEST team in the NHL to mark her visit to Canada.

Yup, it's amazing how the "Queen of England" is coming all this way to drop the puck for the next Stanley Cup Champs. Why else would she do it I ask? If this dosen't tell you something, I don't know what will.

Yupper, this Queen is pretty cool, and Jovo, Cassie, and Gretsky will also be there to cheer on the boys. Wish I could be there but I'll be at the Home Opener on the 12th, that will be better anyway, I love Home Openers their so exciting and you get so pumped for the season.

Well I better go wash my Jersey, dust off my Puck-head, gather up my towells, shine my bobbleheads, and get ready for the greatest season of hockey to ever be played by any team in history. Who who ask? Of course it's none other than the highest scoring team in the world the Vancouver Canucks!!!!! Belfour's been pretty solid of late but it's too bad he doesn't have a team in front of him.

Monkeygirl can't have many complaints about how the season is going for the Canucks so far. They're record is pretty impressive.

As for the Senators i can't really say much. 12-6, it's pretty good, some teams would kill to be 12-6 right now but it can be improved apon.

That would be cool if you came to the game New Years, but, unless you buy one off a dirty rotten, low life, scum-sucking, piece of sh*t, freakin scalper, theres no way you'll get tickets. That game sold out the minute it went on sale. Theres so many of you Make-me-laugh fans around its sickening. Actually every game's a hot ticket here, since the last half of the season, especially now again after our latest run, only a few hundred tics left for all the games, even the basement dwellers. It would be cool to meet ya 'n all, but it would be sooooo sweet to rub in the smoke show we're gonna perform on yer boys, in person. You must be pretty upset about what's going down in Ottawa hey! I know it really pees me off, here they are doing so awesome and this money crap is happening again. I get so angry with whats happening to all the Canadian teams. Especially when Hockey is Canada. The nhl is has got to fiqure out away for all the teams to be on a level playing field with the yanks. NAFTA comes to mind, anyone and everyone down there is buying buildings for teams, they get tax breaks for millions of dollars for teams, they pay pathetic salaries for players. Theres no parody at all. I know for sure we wont have a 2004 season, not a chance, theres no way the players will agree to a salary cap.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, was I ever pissed, we played like absolute crap. I really don't care if we loose once and a while, as long as we play hard and it was well fought game. But that was down right discusting, worst performance I've seen in a long time. They sucked, and yeah I was choked alright, you put out a couple hundred bucks, to see a team that dosen't even show up. Geez, I better stop, I'm getting all riled up again!!!!

PS: Don't worry, it will be the last time your Leafs will be able to pull that off again!!!! Besides the farm team could've beat us that night!!!! So there, pipe that in your put and smoke it Bucko!!!!!

Oh yeah, did ya catch Turtle-Domi's little hissy fit again, he's such a bonehead!

PS: Hey Chris, I would never give up on the Av's, they'll be in the playoffs, no bought a doudt it. Our Burnaby Joe won't let you down, he's awesome, I just wish he'd come home, where he belongs.

What's with you people?

Ottawa is going all the way this year. First overall, second most goals scored in the league right now, 4th fewest against, and they're starting to play with some heart and grit right now. I can smell that cup.

Plus you can buy a chunk of their debt as a tax write-off. Take that legitimate charities.

I can't believe those guys, actually, Turtle I can, but Tucker, he's really starting to loose it the last 2 seasons. I've said in the past I hate Tucker, but I'd like to have em, But, not no more, he's a Goof, last years Goon show, and now this. You can keep them!!!!!!!!

Oh, and as far as Nolan's concerned, we'll see what he does once he becomes a Leaf! (it'll probably jinx the poor bugger) Poor guy was so disapointed when we didn't pick him up and he had to settle for the "make-me-laughs" Oh well!

As Quoted on faceoff.com & TSN:

" Nolan's movie-like debut aside, the Leafs may have been a little fortunate on this night, getting outshot 33-19 and outplayed for most of the night but taking advantage of a shaky Peter Skudra. The Vancouver backup had his third consecutive porous start and the return of No. 1 Dan Cloutier (sprained knee) sometime in the next two weeks can't come fast enough."

Couldn't have said it better myself. NUFF SAID http://sci.rutgers.edu/forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif

PS; Turtle, turtled on Brasher ( when he was still here and fought, before he became a legend in his own mind)

As far as other puck-heads, I don't know either, I think most Yanks are into football and basketball, rather than the best game on earth. They don't know what they're missing!!!!

Well, the trade deadline has come and gone and the Sens are looking great. Smolinski had a great game last night and looks like he'll fit in great.

As for the leafs, picking up a couple of washed up old-timers to get a cup only works in Detroit. At first i thought they had a good chance but after they got the crap beat out of them last night by a team that isn't even going to be in the playoffs i realized that they still suck.

We'll see how they do against the Canucks tomorrow. I think it's tomorrow.

I knew we'd be hearing from you pretty quick, geez, what can I say, yipper the ol' farts are coming on alright. But hey, you have to admit, you were just a tad worried earlier and you know it. Come-on admit it. Yeah, looks like they're making a run for it again, guess we will meet again, not in the 1st round though. It'll be a fun ride alright.

Shaun, Shaun, Shaun, "We all know what that means" is right. The boys let the Laughs off easy, good game though, especially for our farmhands. Conserving energy for the playoffs, at least we've secured a spot unlike the some team I know, http://sci.rutgers.edu/forum/images/smilies/tongue.gif just gotta keep the Aves at bay and take our division, sure wish Burnaby Joe was home where he belongs.

Must admit, what a pick up Nolan was, and a drag about Gilmore's injury, same as May's, there was another deadline guy who got injured right away too, talk about bad luck aye?

Although trying to by one round in the playoffs is a rather silly thing for Quinn to do. Hope Philly doesn't burn the leafs in 4, after all they are a Canadian team.

(Ooops sorry they did secure a spot http://sci.rutgers.edu/forum/images/smilies/eek.gif)

http://sci.rutgers.edu/forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif Oh Yeah, I'm ready now!

It took me a day or so to get over losing our division on Sunday. That sucked so bad, we were in control of our own destiny for two games and we blew it. From always feeding Nassy to get the Trophee's, to not trying to loose, instead of trying to win. One freekin point. Man that was a tough pill to swallow.

But, here we go, a whole new ballgame now, gotta be happy with where we are. What a deadly series this is gonna be with the Blues, the last couple of games with them were awesome. (just hope Crow doesn't get tossed again http://sci.rutgers.edu/forum/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif) Managed tickets for game #1 both rounds 1 & 2. I'm pumped, Game's Thursday, washed up the Jersey's and towels today, Ready to Rock!

Geez Nate, Great about the Presidents Cup, but it's almost like a bad omen or a jinx, not to many teams win Lord Stanley that won that puppy! I would've let Dallas take it if I were the coach!

As for Shaun and the leafheads, could you imagine if a couple players showed symptoms of that SARS thing, they'd have to quarentine the whole team. Oh well, at least they'd have a legitimate excuse for an early exit aye? http://sci.rutgers.edu/forum/images/smilies/tongue.gif They wouldn't be able to stay outta the box long enough to win 4 games anyway.

I was glad to see my Kings put forth a good effort and beat your Canucks especially after they beat us two weeks prior, I was at that game in LA and the Kings played poorly. Playing the spoiler is all they had left after a injury stricken season. I did want your Canucks to win the division though, I'm sick of seeing Colorado do that year after year. Actually I am hoping Vancouver will win the western conference... I hate Detroit (bunch of old men), I hate Dallas (they took my North Stars) and I hate Colorado (Rob Blake bitterness). I doubt the Ducks will go anywhere and St Louis is just a bunch of cry babies. Canucks and Sens, an all Canadian Final eh ? I'm jealous that you get to go to the playoffs, it's the best part of the year and it's going to be a lot of fun...enjoy.

OH MY GOD!!!!!!

I couldn't believe that game, that was thee worst I have ever seen them boneheads play!! Every single one of them Sucked! It was down right embarrassing! I couldn't handle it and left after 5, 1st time I've ever left a game like that! Geez I sure felt bad for all the fans that spent the day painting up their bodies and making signs and stanley cups, and paying big bucks for tickets. Only to have their freekin team not show up at all! People coming from all over staying in hotels, man I would be so choked, $500 out the window.

But I'm not a band-wagoner, and I have faith, that they'll be back in form Sat night! We'll be tied up and starting from scratch. (we better be) http://sci.rutgers.edu/forum/images/smilies/eek.gif

Wow Bob! What a nail-biter already hey, gotta luv true OT, and not regular season circus time!

Oh, and Shaun, I guess you already sent them there horseshoes over here aye, either that or reality's kicking in on the pain train! (toot-toot) http://sci.rutgers.edu/forum/images/smilies/tongue.gif Although I must admit, that was a pretty good tilt with Turtle and Brash. I am in hockey heaven today, 10 hours of hockey, four games on tap, and i'm jumping on the bandwagons, Go Ducks...Go Wild... and lets not forget My NCAA Golden Gophers ! And the Canucks better show up tonight.

http://sci.rutgers.edu/forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif Thank God, Hockey God of course! We're back to playing the way we were a month ago it was a beautiful sight. Especially when Bert rocked Jackman and MacInnis in the first 3 minutes. I hope he's not too hurt but, but if theres one guy you'd want out of the line-up its MacInnis. Yup, when you watch a game like last nights, it's makes you realize why hockey is the absolute best sport in the world!! What intensity, what action, an all around steller performance by every Canuck on the ice!

Yeah Dennis, I know what ya mean, playoffs, hockey heaven, all the games, just waiting on the Oilers game in a couple hours, hopefully to take a series lead after today.

Hey Bob! http://sci.rutgers.edu/forum/images/smilies/eek.gif And don't say yeah, this happened last year, and we came back to win 4 straight and won the cup! This years different, the ol' boys are another year older and tireder(if there is such a word) that making average age what 50? http://sci.rutgers.edu/forum/images/smilies/tongue.gif And they couldn't sit back and rest players this year like last year. They had to battle to the end. Could you imagine gettin taken out by the Mighty Ducks!!!(lol)

Oh and conman, must you display that blue & white profanity, and so big.(GAG) http://sci.rutgers.edu/forum/images/smilies/tongue.gif If you must, can't you at least make it smaller, so it doesn't waste all that valuable space.

He Bob,
This Mitch guy is funny :
http://www.freep.com/sports/albom/mitch14_20030414.htm Is that typical Detroit talk ? Careful Bob or by weeks end the only pro sport you will be watching is the Tigers (LOL) but then they won a game this year so I guess they are already done, the Ducks only need to win TWO out of the next FIVE to advance, can this be 2001 all over again for Detroit ? Now I'm kickin myself for not trying to get tickets. I should have jumped on this bandwagon sooner.

M-girl - what a blast the Oiler game was last night, Dvorak's goal was awesome ! Now the Canucks need to win in St Louis, it looks like Al MacInnis is doubtful so that works in their favor. And can't forget about my Minnesota Wild (I'm a Mn transplant to Ca) Thank goodness for TVs with Picture in Picture.

At least all the other games tonight were exciting, our game sucked, no flow again, refs callin everything, and non calls, no consistancy what so ever. "Quick, somebody administer the Anaheimlich maneuver to the Wings before it's too late"

http://sci.rutgers.edu/forum/images/smilies/eek.gif NO WAY!!!!

OH MY GOD BOB!!! Do you believe it? Hockeytown must be Stunned this morning, never mind loosing to the duckheads, but a Sweep, unbelievable, so sorry for you Bob! Gee, just as I wrote duckheads, I pictured people throwing duckheads instead of octupie. I must say though, I'm happy for Kayria, (another BC boy) for some unknown reason has stuck it out with the Ducks, he deserves it!! And the fact that they've been swept by the deadwings in all previous playoffs. Must have been soooo sweet for them.

As for our game, geez, I wish they'd play like they were 20 games ago, this is awful. Oh and Shaun, as for the ref's, I wasn't saying just bad calls our side, both teams, its sickening, christ they just touch eachother and it's called. It's like Oh my god they had contact, better call that. They have called it so tight it's ruined the series, not once has there been any flow to the game, makes you not even want to watch. Between the blues defensive play and the refs, it is so not good entertaining hockey. http://sci.rutgers.edu/forum/images/smilies/mad.gif
You other guys have been able to play the game, I've watched lots and the excitement is no comparison, I am so choked, (no not because we're losing), but everyone expected this to be such an awesome series and the officiating has destroyed it!! Woo Hoo Hoo ! Game 7, I knew the Canucks could do it...they found their scoring touch. Now if they can stay out of the penalty box that will make winning at home easier...gotta say that the officiating in that last game was not that great..is it just me or does St Louis play dirty..a lot ? Looks like you will get to use those second round tickets M-Girl. I know what you mean about being emotional, my Kings are not even in the mix but I'm still glued to the action. Now can my Wild duplicate what Vancouver is doing ? Come back from a 3 - 1 deficit..we will see tonight, Colorado seemed really flat until the third period when they turned it on but it was too late...hahaha...another upset brewing ? I doubt it but I can dream....also, can't forget...Go Leafs ! I hate Philly.... and Bobby Clark is such a good GM........hahaha

And finally I can't wait for the second round to start, I scored tickets to all the Mighty Ducks home games against Dallas, while I admit I'm a bandwagon Ducks fan, it's going to be fun just to be there because i'm a fan of the game ! Only 12 more wins to the Cup :-)

I just wish they timing was better, I can't believe they scheduled them like this, how are we supposed to watch all 3 games?????

You can also bet that who ever looses in the leaf and the wild series, will be blaming it on the back to back games.

I just pray that the hockey gods make sure the officiating isn't a factor in our series, it has been pathetic. It would be total disgrace for either team to loose this game because of it. http://sci.rutgers.edu/forum/images/smilies/mad.gif So if anyone wants to pray today, add that to your prayer "K" Thanks!!!! http://sci.rutgers.edu/forum/images/smilies/wink.gif

Woo HOO HOO, wow what a game ! I was across the street from the Pond last night at the Angels/Yankees game. I had the tickets before I knew the Ducks schedule. I was listening to the Ducks on the radio and watching it on the stadium monitors up until the start of the Angels game at 7:00pm when they turned it off. I listened to the first three overtimes which lasted until the top of the 7th inning and the Angels were ahead 6 - 2 so we left at that point and made it home in time to see the 4th and 5th OT. Hockey FANS RULE ! Did you see the ovation from them even after Dallas lost !
