Missing 2 of top 3 defenseman and #1 goalie so there's bound to be some letdown. Until the last couple games each game has been been close. We also still haven't found a quality replacement for Fedoruk yet either...

We've seen what we can do when healthy and most are due back after the all star break. We're still in great position and with some luck all will be healthy come play-off time... If so, ya'll in trouble.

Yeah what a drag eh, I was pumped and it was a crappy game, another penality ridden ruined game, no flow, everytime it was end to end for a couple mins another stupid penalty (real or imaged) Their special teams were horrible too..oh well they get a mulligan. Division games are coming up, storing up energy for them I hope.

The Ducks and the Flames can play their series I want to play San Jose, that last game was awesome, end to end all night. Even our stats are almost identical.

Anywho, have a blast bud. I don't know what section you're in but I noticed on tv that those new guys they brought in to play the drums were set up in the w/c seating taking up space. I was livid.

When I was at the Wings game they were on stairs of the concourse. If they are there, raise supreme sh*t with all staff, especially at guest services in the concourse.

That means we people are turned away because they're there, that's bogus. We don't have enough seating as it is. I raised supreme doodoo at the playoffs a couple years back, the cameras were taking up 2 spots on each 321 & 311. It's bad enough are chances are 1 in 10,000 of getting a playoff tic, especially if we go past the 1st round.

That was the poorest display of compete I've ever seen. Sure all the kids are scared and nervous with no experience, but hey come on there's still some veterans that should step up. I certainly can't say I have much optimism for tomorrow nights game after that poor excuse for a playoff game.

Yeah it was a good game, except for for all the bad calls & non-calls by the bonehead refs. Pretty poor officiating in all the series it seems. Hopefully they they'll have there heads out of their arses today.

Well it will be great for you WC if you win tomorrow night and wrap it up at home. The pond will be buzzing that's for sure. It would be cool if we won too though, then I'd get at least one game in Vegas. I got game days wrong, both 6 & 7 Sun & Tues would be in Vegas, I would luv that.

Problem though, I bought us tics for the show "O" for Sunday night, so I would have to cancel or rebook for Sat. No way I would miss that game.:applaud: Phftt...who knows though, we could be toast. It's gonna be pretty hard to bounce back after that emotional loss, never mind everything else.

It has been a performance for the ages by Roberto Luongo from start to finish in these playoffs.Thursday wasn't the record-setting performance he had against the Dallas Stars in the first round, but the Anaheim Ducks still managed to pepper Luongo with 58 shots.
And what a bizarre circumstance when overtime started and Luongo was not on the ice because of an equipment malfunction. Danny Sabourin came in a made five good saves until Luongo was able to come in and try to help win the game for Vancouver.

It was a sad way for Luongo to end his first playoff run. He seemed to be hypnotized by the big Rob Niedermayer (http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/player_bio.asp?player_id=1409) hit on Jannik Hansen (http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/player_bio.asp?player_id=4608). Luongo had his arm up in the air - maybe looking for a penalty or an offside - and he was a little bit distracted on that winning goal. That is too bad, because he is the reason the Canucks got as far as they did.

At the beginning of this season nobody expected the Canucks to even make the playoffs, never mind win their division and play 12 playoff games. Even the 12 playoff games (seven against Dallas, five against Anaheim) is a misnomer, because they played over 146 minutes of overtime.

They simply lost the war of attrition. The Canucks ran out of gas when all was said and done. Matt Cooke (http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/player_bio.asp?player_id=1166) and Ryan Kesler (http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/player_bio.asp?player_id=3513) were hurt early in the playoffs and Jeff Cowan (http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/player_bio.asp?player_id=1180) suffered his knee injury. They just started to run out of bodies. And look at their defence - Kevin Bieksa (http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/player_bio.asp?player_id=2544), Sami Salo (http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/player_bio.asp?player_id=1550), Willie Mitchell (http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/player_bio.asp?player_id=1544). Some of these guys missed games and they were playing hurt. Mitchell didn't miss any games, but you could tell he was in tough shape throughout.

Obvioiusly the Sedins didn't measure up offensively, but they are still young players. They emerged in the regular season and it is not unusual to have a breakthrough season in the regular season and not be able to duplicate it in the playoffs. That is what happened. They will learn from this experience.

Overall, when you look at everything the Vancouver Canucks did they had an unbelievable year.

Pretty good season considering the recovery from the Bertuzzi/Crawford era. Without the grit, you're not going far in the playoffs. Add in the injuries that we don't know about, and you know it just wasn't our year. Year 3 & 4 Luongo brings home the real hardware.

Lol... Taken out to the woodshed or what! At least we had an excuse 1st game we just played a grueling 9 game series and had to fly and play the next day with farmers. What happened? Deserved to get smoked though.....

I was slightly pulling for the Duckies in this series for various reasons, well...that's totally changed now. I let a lot of cheap-shots & double-team cheap-shots go in our series..especially the double-teamer on Willie, trying to take out the last of our top 4 D, to put the nail in the coffin..:rolleyes: No class, no respect.

Sorry my duck buddies, but there's a reason you're highest penalized team, dirty hits, un-necessary scraps, & down-right stupid penalties. Not a way a team should be allowed to raise Lord Stanley's Cup...:nono: Pronger better get at least 1 game, if not 2.

The Ducks (oh for fuck sakes,wont someone change that name) are the most entertaining team left to watch in the playoffs now that there trapping style of play,thanks to Burke has been somewhat eliminated..there a big,young,physical,hard hitting team...and as much fun as it would be to watch them pummel the TURDS into the ice,i hope the Sabres can rally and prevent them from getting there..

I agree mg, we definately outplayed them but unfortunately that won't change the outcome. Sellouts have been a problem all year, used to be the hottest ticket in town but most people are connected to the automotive industry here and our economy is pretty shitty around here. This has been a tough playoffs. I think the Senators and Red Wings would be the last teams I'd want in the finals other than the Rangers or Flyers.

I watched the Devils lose to the Sens in the 2nd round which was the last game to be ever played in CAA arena. After seeing two cups be won in that building, that was a horrible ending.

The only way the playoff season can be saved is by the Ducks winning. Even though Giguere stole Marty's Conn Smythe in 2003, I can bring myself to pull for him. Go Ducks!
