We bought an Element three months ago and love it but I am once again in a wheelchair and cannot find anyone who knows how to install a wheelchair ramp. Any suggestios?

Here are some photos of an adapted Element:

My understanding is that this company does conversions, although the do not yet indicate this on their website:

which Staunton do you live in? If you're in Virginia, there's a place 20 minutes or so away, over in Waynesboro, that can probably hook you up.

Contact info:

M.I.T.S. of Virginia
800.420.6470

If you are in VA & decide to call, ask for Richard Baldwin. He runs the place. Tell him I referred you. He's a good guy & fits the salesman stereotype well. http://sci.rutgers.edu/forum/images/smilies/wink.gif

I do not know any individual installers but the National Mobility Equipment Dealer’s Association (NMEDA), is a nonprofit organization that can direct you to a reputable installer. Their website is www.NMEDA.com (http://www.NMEDA.com).
