jeff, or anyone attending friday's meeting can you share highlights of what was discussed?
i regret missing it myself.
my caregiver was not up to the drive in shore traffic.

How long is the drive from LI?
Liz,
If you call they'll send you fairly good directions and a parking permit. The problem is that the Open Houses are usually Friday afternoons at 5 PM and in the summer the traffic on the NJ Turnpike and the NJ Garden State Parkway are both full of rush hour commuters plus NJ Shore traffic. Add that to the LIE on a Friday. The best from LI might be the Southern State to the Belt Parkway to the Verrazano Bridge accross Staten Island to the NJ Turnpike. The rest depends where you are on LI and any accidents. Fridays, many people start going home early too.
You probably need to leave before 3.... maybe 3 AM.

Yikes, I need to leave by 1 or 2. the belt is a nightmare!
Oh well......maybe they'll have open house on another day one month!

We just received a letter from The Spinal Cord Injury Project - the open house for July AND August is Thursday, Juy 28 at 5 PM. Summer traffic on a Thursday shouldn't be as bad as a Friday, but no guarantees. Next open house after that is in September.
