This is an article from The Randolph Reporter, a local newspaper in Assemblyman Carroll's District(25). Carroll is the Assemblyman who upset the young girl in Trenton with his remarks about stem cell research.
Assemblyman Michael P. Carroll, R-Morris, said the last thing he wanted was to make 14-year-old Emily Greatrex cry after the assemblyman told her on Monday, May 16, that stem cell research would not cure her diabetes.
Despite Carroll's intention, the effect was devastating on the young, Mount Laurel resident who was in Trenton along with others lobbying for support for stem cell research in New Jersey.
