Dr. Joseph Hidler, PhD of the Applied Neuromuscular Biomechanics Laboratory at the National Rehabilitation Hospital serves as the principal investigator for the following study.
We are looking for incomplete spinal cord injured persons who have some movement in either of their legs and can tolerate standing. The person may participate in up to 2, 1-hour sessions, as person walks over a treadmill with the aid of a robotic orthosis. The purpose of this study is to determine what conditions to set the robotic-assisted treadmill so that the leg muscles are best activated.
