What do you consider mid priced? $10? $15? $20?

You can get some great bottles for $10, foreign and domestic.

i hate cabernet sauvignon, too many tanins and it tastes like medicine lol but that's just me (and john cleese).
all wine is an individual taste.
i was just watching a cooking show called "seasonings" on tv today, and they were concentrating on all the t-giving side dishes.
they also suggested pino noir as a great t-giving wine, cuz it goes w/ just about everything, beef, pork, poultry, sweet, sour, hot, spicy, bland, etc.
i really like pino noir, so that'd be my choice....it pretty much doesn't matter the name.
you don't hafta' spend a lot to get a good wine.

That is why there are different levels/degrees of tanins and difference between good/bad imo. I prefer a medium tanin. Thanks for the suggestions.
