Sorry, folks - computer gremlins!
Kate, Here's the recipe -
MY KILLER BROWNIES
1 1/2 cup melted butter
6 eggs
3 cup sugar
1 1/2 cup flour
½ tsp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla
1 cup cocoa -unsweetened
1/3 cup hot brewed espresso
1T Kahlua
1/3 cup hot fudge topping
Preheat oven to 350. Butter a 9 x 13 pan.
Blend butter, sugars, vanilla; add eggs, beat. Mix together hot fudge topping, espresso and kahlua, and stir in. Mix together all dry ingredients, and add gradually til well blended. Spread in pan; bake for 40-45 minutes. Brownies should still look a little soft in the middle of the pan. Cool thoroughly before cutting - I refrigerate mine.
For the rest o' ya - I can't promise next week - martial arts (aikido) camp all week, but check your mailboxes soon! Besides, isn't it nicer to get presents after your birthday?! http://sci.rutgers.edu/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif

The cool thing at the rally itself was that it was all delicious finger food. No cutting necessary. Patricia said the caterer listened to her. Cruditees, cheese, veggies and stuff wrapped in tortillas, smoked salmon on dark bread, roast beef dealies and a monster selection of bite-sized desserts.

I should have gotten a picture of the food. I guess I could take a picture of it after it comes back out, but that wouldn't be the same. http://sci.rutgers.edu/forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif

Marm, I'm so sorry ... I misread your question. I thought you wanted to know what the people who stayed home were eating. DUH! I'm slow sometimes.
The breakfast buffet at the hotel was awesome--and free. So I made that my main meal for the day. Loaded omelettes, coffee (good stuff!), potatoes, bacon and/or sausage, juice. It was great. Carried me through the day too.
Friday night I ordered a pizza with fontina(?) cheese and andouille sausage, no marinara sauce. It was very good. Saturday night shared a Pu-Pu Platter with Lexi (csmaus1's aid) at the PacRim restaurant--nothing spectacular, but good. Also tried some of Sue and Colin's food, and a bit of metronycguy's dish. Sorry--LOL--can't remember what they were! (How pathetic is that?) Seems both had chicken. http://sci.rutgers.edu/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif
Was it Starbucks or Dove ice cream bars served at the symposium? They looked wonderful. I was so danged cold, all I could consume was coffee, but mainly just held it in my hands to keep warm!
The food at the rally was excellent. Not only was it easy to eat, but I noticed for those quads who couldn't feed themselves, it facilitated the feeding of them. In other words, a lot less fuss or mess.
Great job, Patricia!

LOL - Tx, Martha - now I'm happy - I had my drool fix for the day!
Yes, hats off to Patricia for organizing the food - sounds like it was very well thought out.
Oh, and BTW, one of our local supermarkets is carrying Community Coffee now - not bad! But still not as good as lilsis & hubbie's Golden Roast! http://sci.rutgers.edu/forum/images/smilies/wink.gif
