gator? mmmm I used to get that at a place called Montanas when I lived in Mississippi.
I think the worse was when my spaghetti came with a HUGE raw squid on top. I was in Sicily

I'd have to say sushi, I did like some of it, but it's still weird to me.

Dog lol......I was working in Korea in the 80's and was at Resturant/geisha house with attractive Koreans women in traditional attire cooking meat and fish on a brazier. They didn't
speak English when I asked what this meat is it tastes strange lol....she then understood what I was asking and barked like a dog lol....

Chocolate coated ant! It was given to me by my boyfriend in High School, and I ate it thinking it was a candy. It was quite crunchy and I didn't really like it, but I ate it.
When he told me what it was, I gagged and ran out of the classroom. YUK!
No, I did not marry him!

Hello everyone!! I don't post on here very often but I can't pass this one up.....LOL
I guess the weirdest thing I have ever eaten was Qui (ginnea pig). I was in Ecuador and it is considered a delicacy there but as far as I'm concerned it is awful nasty stuff!

Chitterlings, my grandma made them and I had no idea what they were, I was about 6.
Rabbit, same deal.
Conch, didn't know it was a giant slug, shoulda asked first.
Fried alligator, it was fishy, grey and rubbery, never again.
Guess I could add pig's feet too, very fatty. Yech.

Escargo (snails) in a high school French class and caviar while in Russia.
I've eaten alligator several times. Seneca, sounds like the batch you got was bad. It's more like chicken white meat, maybe a little tougher with stronger flavor--at least the tail meat is. The last gumbo I made had pork/alligator sausage. It was great. http://sci.rutgers.edu/forum/images/smilies/smile.gif

Mike and Chad you will pay in the next life for munching on womans best friend.
Beth, you're braver than I am. I sent a can of that a friend brought back to the local food pantry..
Me, whole tiny octopus served on an antipasto tray in Venice. Nothing against octopus I normally like it (cooked, not fond of 3 types of sushi- squid, octopus and sea urchin eggs) but I like mine with the brain and beak removed first.
Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, "I will try again tomorrow."
A few to choose from:
Penguin, sea urchin, whale.
