For many people who may be unused to bulletin boards, I want to start this topic to give hints on how to navigate the site efficiently. Everybody should contribute their own "tricks".

Let me first define some terms.
Forums - Collections of topics, e.g. care, cure, life...
Topics - Collections of messages
Messages - Individual postings.
Active Links - underlined words that link to another page.
Buttons - icons that link to another page

Keyboard hints:

• Scrolling. On some browsers (i.e. the Internet Explorer on a Mac), pressing the space bar on your keyboard will scroll the window down one page.

• Tab/Return. The tab key selects active links and buttons on the page in sequence. Pressing the return key will activate the link or button. For example, when you open a window showing the postings of a topic, pressing the tab key once brings you to CareCure Community Icon; if you press return, it will bring you to the main CareCure Forums page. If you press the tab key again, it will go to the New Topic, Post a Poll, *Popit, and Reply Buttons, etc. If then press return, it will activate these links. Also when you are typing in a message window and want to post, all you have to do is press the tab key which will send you to the Post Now button and press return. Or, if you want to select an instant graemlin (you know, the smiley icons), just keep pressing the tab key to select the correct icon and press return, etc. Note that most keyboards are set to repeat and so you can rapidly move through all the active buttons or links just by holding down the tab key.

Active Links and Services

• Today's Active Topics. This link is on the upper right hand corner of the front page. If you click it, it will list all the topics that people have posted to today.

• New Since Your Last Visit. This link is also on the upper right hand corner of the front page. If you click it, it will list all the topics that have been posted to since your last visit.

• Popit is a very powerful feature of this site. At the bottom on each topic, if you scroll down, you can choose to display the topic to your MyPop page, get a weekly email digest of the topic, or even get immediate email notification if anybody posts to the topic.
