We'll be off to Project Walk in January!
Sarah (T4, incl, 14 yr old, 4.5 mo post), my wife and I are all excited about our upcoming trip http://sci.rutgers.edu/forum/images/smilies/cool.gif. She's been doing well, definitely getting stronger and in more control. We try to get her to stand up in her walker nightly and we're noticing that she's getting up more on her own. Her therapist is noticing alot of improvement as well. I think we're getting on the cusp of walking, so what better place to go to make sure we're doing it right.
We have been backing her off the baclofin by 10 mg a week, and she says she now is feeling stronger with less spasms.
We finally got her downstairs room finished, the county inspector is due out today for final inspection. It's beautiful, and many thanks to Lowes (all materials at cost), All Secure (50% off intercom system), Noland's (whirlpool tub @ cost), and all the brothers and sisters at Salem Baptist Church (all skilled labor provided for free). God has been so good to us, it makes me want to cry when I reflect on all He has done. In planning this trip to PW, I wasn't sure how the expenses were going to make it, then just yesterday, a elderly fellow (must be 90+) from church, one that I only know from a handshake here or there, mailed my family a beautiful card with a $500 check in it. My wife couldn't stop crying, and I'm still getting misty eyes while writing this. God truly loves and cares for those who trust and belong to Him.
God is good, all the time.
