My daughter (age 14, T4 incomplete - 7/28/04) tried out the EasyStand 6000 glider yesterday @ our med supply place for the first time.
Getting her on was a little tough due to stiff and spastic legs. But after only about 5-10 minutes, her legs were loose and much more agreeable. She even made the comment that her "legs were tired". On the way home, her legs were relaxed and spread, unstead of being rigid and stiff and together.
Is it just me, or can this be really good news? For her legs to feel "tired" and "weak" is probably a normal feeling, in that she's either been in a wheelchair or bed for the last 3 months. She has had movement in both legs, the left more than the right. But the spasicity has held her back from alot of good therapy.
What do you guys and gals think?
Rick
