Today I had the pleasure to to meet a great guy,by the name of Ed who was injured only 8 months ago. He sustained a c3 injury during a car accident and is on a ventilator.
When I called a friend today he had told me about Ed and we decided to go visit him. He,s 50 years old and was recently married 2 years ago.I was told his wife is thinking about movin on. My heart went out to this guy so much.We were there to give him as much support and information as we could.
All I could offer him was a book by CR and and a link to this wonderful site. I hope he get,s some comfort from this.
Being a c6 quad made me realize how lucky I am and at the same time I felt guilt for reasons unknown. I wish him well.

Byron, how thoughtful of you to visit this guy and give him information. I hope you can keep the visits going on a regular basis. It sounds like this guy needs a friend and peer at this time. I hope he can work out his marital issues. Unfortunately with him only being married a short time it is less likely that his wife will hang in there for him. I hope they are getting some counseling.

Does this guy have access to a computer and the internet? Is he in rehab or in a nursing home?

Bryon-

I'm proud of you, you can help this guy and people like him a lot. We all need to know we're not alone in this mess.
