I continue to have nerve ending pain in my feet and bottom. Can I expect to have this for the rest of my life, also I am starting to get a little more of a erection when we mess around but the bottom of my scrotum is numb the top is not. Do you think that the feeling will come back there? I mashed a cycle gas tank from the sides and top and broke my pelvis when my accident happened a little over a year ago.

I don't have a good answer to your questions. Some people do have chronic neuropathic pain for many years. I have heard of the pain going away in some patients but this is rare. We must of course hope that upcoming therapies will eliminate the pain. Regarding the erection and sensation, some return for function may occur for several years but at a slower rate than in the first year. Again, I hope that this will improve with future therapies.
