Glad to welcome another Aussie to the site, and g'day to everyone.:D
I am from Queensland, (which is the best state in Australia) and if you ever visit, you must go there and check out the sites.
In Australia wheelchair-access in most cites are pretty good, but in rural area it could be better. Most towns have cabs that are wheelchair accessible, so it's easy to get around.
Most people are more than willing to help out, which can get annoying sometimes, (when they go over the top) but at least they mean well.
Any other question please feel free to ask, but it would be good to hear some feed back from other people about the places where they live.
