Ive figured out the movie feature on my S1,but it will only film about 20secs and tells me that the card is full.Ive deleted everything off the card,but it keeps telling me its full after 30secs.I want to film myself making a couple transfers and need about 2- 5mins.What can i do? Thanks

What type card is it? I am not familiar with the S1. Get a bigger card as in size like 512MB or ? Needs to be 2-5 times the size now.

What size is your CF card. I believe it records to uncompressed .avi files, so it will need lots of room. My old Canon G3 only records 320x240 @ 15fps and a 1min clip takes about 20MB, and it will only record up to 3 minutes. Your S1 IS takes some very high quality movies, 640x480 @ 30fps and is limited in lenght only by the storage of your CF card. I believe the S1 IS can record lower res and less fps if you're running out of room.

Right on! I just have the card that came with it,and i do believe it is just 32MH,which at 640x480 only works out to 20sec./42sec..So im gonna buy a bigger card this afternoon.The 512MH at 640x480 gives me 344sec./686sec...the first setting is 30fps the second is 15 fps..but you knew probably knew that though didnt ya,its a amazing what i can learn when i find the book and know what things are called http://sci.rutgers.edu/forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif...
