is there any single test (i.e. blood oxigen saturation) useful to detect the presence of sleep apnea in SCI? Or a complex set of tests is needed?

An oxygen saturation reading will give you some information, but not the whole story. The most difinitive way to diagnose sleep apnea is by undergoing a sleep study done at a sleep study lab. This test will pinpoint the cause of your symptoms. Most physicians will request this before prescribing treatment. (EMK)
